The Buzz About Five Stars...

This event has flourished under

Debbie Medrano's leadership...

I have had the pleasure of working directly and closely with our current (2018) Rod Run event planner, Debbie Medrano. This is Debbie’s 3rd year as our Rod Run event planner. Under her leadership, our event has been wildly successful! I say this in view of my over 18 years being involved with the Rod Run. Debbie works tirelessly to “get the word out” while directing the updated graphics, vendor coordination and much more. She has been very creative in the style of awards presented to the many directly varied winners. This event has flourished under Debbie Medrano’s leadership and I look forward to working with her for many more years to come.

It was yet again a Hot Rod success...

This Sunday, was the 28th year and it was yet again a Hot Rod success. The streets of Historic Downtown Vista were lined with classic Pre-74 vehicles, cruisers, trucks and all things Rod Run.

Thanks to the Sponsors, North County Ford, PDT Inc and Vista Village Business Association.

Large crowds enjoyed the day and they came from cities all over North County and beyond. They enjoyed all that Historic Vista has to offer with the hustle and bustle of the many tasting rooms, restaurants and shops.

This year's event was the largest yet...

Foodies and beer lovers alike flocked from across North County to Vista’s Historic Main Street on Wednesday night to experience an outdoor festival unlike any other. The 9th Annual Taste of Vista festival, sponsored by the Vista Village Business Association, delivered a multitude of local tastes that impressed it’s attendees.

This year’s event was the largest yet, extending its footprint from Main Street to include the Vista Village Shopping Center. The expansion came as a result of an increase in restaurant participation as compared to previous years.

Those in attendance were thrilled to go from parking to eating in a matter of minutes...

Another difference from previous years that did not go unnoticed by the hungry fans was the significantly more efficient check-in process. Those in attendance were thrilled to go from parking to eating in a matter of minutes. Debbie Medrano, the event planner for the past two years, says “We changed our process so that everyone can enjoy the full event.” Shorter check-in times resulted in shorter lines for food, which is a change that everyone in attendance was grateful for.

This is the first time the

Taste of Vista has sold out...

As first-time event coordinator Debbie Medrano proudly announced, this is the first time the Taste of Vista has sold out in the 8 years it has taken place on Main Street!

As Vista Village Business Association Executive Director Jeffrey B. Frankel reported, the Taste of Vista is a great marketing opportunity, and a chance to show locals who might otherwise travel outside of Vista to dine and drink that there are fine options for dining that exist “right here in Vista”...

Seeming to summarize the satisfied sentiments of many Vista residents over local businesses at the Taste is long time Vista resident and Event Director Debbie Medrano, who proudly stated, “I love this town and I love Main Street…I don’t have a favorite restaurant in town and so bringing all of the restaurants and community together for this event is an honor.”
